THE BREW AT KERRY HOTEL, PUDONG, SHANGHAI PRESENTS NEW MENU

Shanghai, China, 12 July 2016 – The BREW, a contemporary craft brewery at Kerry Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai, launches its revamped menu, providing hotel guests and diners even more variety.

As always, the dishes all pair perfectly with The BREW's famous hand-crafted signature beers, making the restaurant and bar one of the hottest spots to visit this summer.

“The team is made up of chefs from around Asia and the world.  We spent weeks working tirelessly to bring this exciting new menu to our guests,” said Otto Goh, executive chef of The BREW.

“Our chefs from India, Malaysia, Australia and UK all gave their own contribution into creating the dishes.  We worked really hard together, bringing our originality and culture into the dishes. ”

One of the highlights is the Salt and Pepper Squid, a popular Asian-infused snack dish.  The squid, lightly battered and fried, is tender and crispy.  It is seasoned with chili and lime sauce, coriander and garlic for a hint of Thai flavour.

The BREW’s home-made pils pork sausage is an all-time favourite. The pork shoulder used for the sausage is house-ground and smoked, specially seasoned with BREW pilsner, Mexican cayenne pepper, garlic and Creole spice.

The BREW has also added two burgers, the Pulled Pork Burger and Avocado Burger to complement its classic Wagyu Burger. You can have the new pork knuckle in German or Chinese Style seasoning and don’t forget to try the Brew Baby Back Ribs.

“We marinate the pork ribs overnight with original blackstrap molasses.  Our supplier provides the highest-quality free-range pork from Yunnan Province; therefore, the meat is moist and full of aroma,” said Goh.  “The rib has an extra tangy BBQ flavour, which pairs with our Vanilla Stout beautifully.”

Apart from the classic pub-style snacks and dishes, The BREW launches a few more Asian dishes.  Lamb Biryani, an Indian curry dish served with basmati rice, is aromatic and authentic.  Sweet and Sour Pork, a typical Cantonese wok-fried dish served with a variety of vegetables, is a popular and healthy lunch option.

“The goal is to take our guests on a journey that lets them taste authentic international cuisines.” Goh said.

The casual ambience and family-style hospitality at The BREW, together with the unpretentious delicious food, make it an ideal location to celebrate any occasion with family, friends and colleagues.  The BREW invites guests to come and try the new dishes together with the award winning craft beer.
