Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto Welcomes Chef Emil Minev from Le Cordon Bleu London

Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto is thrilled to welcome award-winning chef Emil Minev from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu London. The esteemed Culinary Arts Director will be in residence at Bosk for one week only, and will be offering an exclusive a la carte dinner menu from 31 October to 5 November 2016.

With more than 15 years at the helm of some of the world’s premier hotels and restaurants, Chef Emil Minev commands the kitchens as Culinary Arts Director at Le Cordon Bleu London. Chef Minev has a long-standing history with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts; recently he was executive chef at Shangri-La Hotel, London at the Shard, overseeing the entire food and beverage division from pre-opening to operational. Previously he has worked with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Tokyo, Japan and The Maldives.

Bulgarian-born Chef Minev first realized his passion while working in the hotel industry in his home country. Fuelled by an appetite to succeed in the culinary world, Chef Minev moved to London early in his career and began refining his skills alongside Pierre Koffman, at his 3 Michelin-starred restaurant La Tante Claire. It was here that had his first brush with the pastry kitchen. Intrigued by the artistry, he decided to enroll at Le Cordon Bleu, where he graduated with Diplôme de Pâtisserie. His training and academic pursuits have sent him to the world-renowned Alain Ducasse Formation Centre in Paris, as well as 3 Michelin-starred El Bulli in Barcelona, before returning to London to join The Ritz.
