Patio Season Begins At Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto's New Urban Patio At Bosk


May 4, 2016 – Each spring as the clocks spring forward and the last of the snow is washed away; Toronto residents and visitors eagerly await the arrival of patio season. Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto is celebrating the change of the season with the launch of bosk patio on 5 May 2016. Daily, as the clock strikes 2:00 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy shareable dishes and elegant cocktails in a stylish outdoor environment

Design and Ambiance 

Created and produced by the renowned local Design Agency, “the bosk patio is designed as a layered garden using a natural palette of material and soft tones to create an earthy feel accented by red Japanese maples and fire pits to give the patio a sense of luxury and warmth” said Matt Davis, principal at the Design Agency. Adding to the ambiance, décor items feature unique furniture selected from the luxury Spanish and Belgium lines Andreu World and Tribu.  


Bosk Patio Menu   

The menu is specially designed by executive chef Damon Campbell to reflect the spring and summer months featuring seasonal ingredients and shareable plates. Inspired by the hotel’s popular daily High Tea, Campbell has created a three tier Bosk Patio Tower featuring a selection of signature dishes for guests to share including Bosk Sliders, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Pork Lettuce Wraps, Daily Market Oysters and Tuna Sashimi for CAD 22. Guests can also enjoy dishes such as: the Kale and Asparagus Salad with bulgur wheat, red onion, tomato, olive, and croutons; Crispy Calamari with chili, cilantro, lime and sumac yogurt; and an artisanal Cheese Plate with fruit preserve, candied nuts and melba toast. The menu will be available from 5 May to 30 September 2016.  


Specialty Cocktails  

To accompany the new patio menu, there will be a large selection of fine wines, beer and three unique blends of sangria including a seasonally inspired red, white and roséserved by the pitcher for CAD 39. Guests may also choose from a wide variety of cocktails offered such as: the Apple Elixir with Crown Royal, simple syrup, orange bitters, fresh apple and lemon juice; the Royale with Earl Grey infused Beefeater gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and egg whites; and the Rum Runner made with Newfoundland Screech rum, fresh lime juice, ginger beer, brown sugar simple syrup and blueberries plus many more.  


Double up on Dining  

Golden Circle, the loyalty programme of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, has introduced a new dining benefit as part of its continuing fifth anniversary celebration. The programme enables GC members to dine out on GC Award Points at all managed restaurants and outlets in the over 95 Shangri-La, Kerry, Hotel Jen and Traders hotels and resorts worldwide including bosk patio and restaurant.
