Explore Guilin
Charming attractions for every traveller

Situated in the north-eastern corner of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is a beautiful and scenic destination.

Guilin boasts some of the "finest mountains and rivers under heaven." Two crystal-clear rivers meander through the city, which is encircled by hills with unusual and bizarre rock formations and caves.

Diecai Hill

This area is made up of Silver Hill, Yuyue Hill, Red Crown Crane Hill and Bright Moon Hill. It is named after its traversed rock layers, which resemble a piece of folded brocade. This was developed in the Tang Dynasty.

During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, many carved Buddhas on precipices appeared. This was also a meeting place for poets and painters during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Fubo Hill

Inside Fubo Hill there are 1,000 rock statues of Buddha and many carvings on the cave walls made during the Tang Dynasty.

Li River and Li River Cruise

The Li River is one of the placid water bodies in the country. Decorated by magnificent mountain ranges on its captivating banks, the river is a mystical sight to behold during the twilight hours of the day. It originates from the Mao’er Mountains and trickles down towards the south through Guilin.

While on a Li River Cruise, visitors will have the pleasure of enjoying natural China at its best. Water buffalos can be spotted at various open expanses along the banks of the river. Fishermen also amble along in their charming bamboo rafts.

Those who wish to explore every inch of the Li River should book the complete Li River Cruise which will take them on a 54-mile journey. The trip will last approximately four to five hours (longer time may be expected when the water level of the Li River is lower during dry season).

Elephant Trunk Hill

Located in close proximity to where Li River and Peach Blossom River meet, Elephant Trunk Hill is a stunning limestone formation which resembles an elephant drinking water. This iconic natural attraction draws thousands of local and foreign visitors to the city.

Elephant Trunk Hill is over 360 million years old and is thought to have been formed due to water erosion. Standing at an impressive 55 meters above the river, the hill is approximately 100 meters wide and 108 meters long.

Jinjiang Prince City

Jingjiang Prince City is located beside the Li River. It is a tourist attraction highlighted by the gorgeous Solitary Beauty Peak, whose summit offers the best panoramic view of Guilin City.

Reed Flute Cave

The magnificent Reed Flute Cave is a natural work of art created by centuries of water erosion. Some of the shapes and designs will seem almost unearthly to the first time visitor. The cave is packed with gorgeous stalactites, magnificent rock formations and intimidating stalagmites.

The entire cave is approximately 240 meters long. A trip through the entire cave should last at least an hour to properly absorb the beauty of the place.

Seven Star Park

The park is near the east bank of the Li River and gets its name from the seven mountain peaks. It is the park in Guilin with an area of 134.7 hectares and has been popular with sightseers since the Sui and Tang Dynasties

Surrounded by peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River, Yangshuo is easily accessible by bus or by ferry from nearby Guilin. Over the years, it has become popular with foreign backpackers.

Situated in the centre of Yangshuo County, West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It offers everything, from local handicrafts to designer clothes.
