Maharaja
This theme takes you back into India’s regal past to experience the ambience and opulence of the great maharajas. Hostesses dressed in traditional costumes will honour each guest by performing the traditional ‘aarti’ ‘tikka’ and garlanding ceremonies while ushering them courteously into the royal hall. Meanwhile, accomplished musicians will play poignant tunes on the shehnai (an oboe-like wind instrument), and folk dancers will twirl and posture to timeless tunes that invoke the blessings of the gods for an auspicious occasion. Enjoy maharaja-style delicacies, served in a manner that truly befits royalty. Guests will be given traditional pagris (turbans) and dupattas (stoles).
