Card Terms & Conditions:

Gift Cards; Amazon.com.au Balance; Redemption.

  • Amazon.com.au Gift Cards ("Gift Cards") are issued by Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd., an Australian Proprietary Limited Company.
  • Once you redeem your claim code, the amount of funds available from your Gift Card (" Amazon.com .au Balance ") will be displayed in Your Account.
  • Your Amazon.com.au Balance displays the total remaining balance of all Gift Cards that have been applied to your Amazon.com.au account but not yet applied to a purchase.
  • We may refer to your Amazon.com.au Balance as your "Amazon Balance", "Gift Card Balance", or "GC Balance".
  • To view your Amazon.com.au Balance, visit Your Account on Amazon.com.au.
  • Purchases are deducted from your Amazon.com.au Balance. Any unused Amazon.com.au Balance will remain associated with your Amazon.com.au account. If a purchase exceeds your Amazon.com.au Balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method.
  • Your Amazon.com.au Balance and your Gift Cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible goods and services on Amazon.com.au and its associated applications.
  • Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd. or its affiliates ("we", "us", and "our") may provide Gift Card purchasers with information about the redemption status of Gift Cards that they purchase.

Limitations.

  • Neither your Amazon.com.au Balance nor your Gift Cards may be applied to the purchase of products at www.amazon.com, www.amazon.at, www.amazon.com.br, www.amazon.ca, www.amazon.cn, www.amazon.de, www.amazon.es, www.amazon.fr, www.amazon.in, www.amazon.it, www.amazon.co.jp, www.amazon.com.mx, www.amazon.nl, www.amazon.co.uk, or any website other than the website(s) listed in Section 1 above.
  • Your Amazon.com.au Balance cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards.
  • Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law.
  • No portion of your Amazon.com.au Balance may be transferred to another Amazon.com.au account.

Risk of Loss.

  • The risk of loss and title for Gift Cards pass to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission of the Gift Card to the purchaser or designated recipient, or our delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable.
  • We are not responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, or if your Amazon.com.au Balance or any Gift Card is used without your permission.

Use of Amazon.com.au Balance or any Gift Card in Violation of these Terms and Conditions.

  • We reserve the right to void Gift Cards (including as a component of your Amazon.com.au Balance), close customer accounts, and bill alternative forms of payment if we reasonably suspect that a Gift Card is obtained, used, or applied to an Amazon.com.au account (or your Amazon.com.au Balance is applied to a purchase) fraudulently, unlawfully, or otherwise in violation of these terms and conditions.

Limitation of Liability.

  • YOU HAVE CERTAIN RIGHTS UNDER THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED AND ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CARDS OR YOUR AMAZON.COM.AU BALANCE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT GIFT CARD.

Governing Law.

  • The laws of New South Wales govern these terms and conditions and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd. and its affiliates.
  • Any dispute relating in any way to these terms and conditions or your use of a Gift Card or your Amazon.com.au Balance will only be adjudicated in the courts of New South Wales. We and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in these courts.
  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, either we or you may seek injunctive relief in any state, federal, or national court of competent jurisdiction for any actual or alleged infringement of such party's, its affiliates' or any third party's intellectual property or other proprietary rights.
  • The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, and any local laws implementing the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, do not apply to these terms and conditions or your use of a Gift Card or you Amazon.com.au Balance.

General Terms.

  • The Amazon.com.au Conditions of Use apply.
  • No fees apply to Gift Cards.
  • We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time in our discretion where it is reasonably necessary to protect the legitimate interests of our business and provided that the change is not materially detrimental to you.
  • Changes to these terms and conditions will be notified by updating the terms and conditions as set out on this webpage.
  • All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law.
  • If any of these terms and conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that unenforceable term will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining terms and conditions.

Amazon.com.au Balance Expiration.

  • Your Amazon.com.au Balance and Gift Cards do not expire, including those with a printed expiry period or those previously subject to an expiry period.

 

Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions shall govern the redemption, transfer, use and other activities or dealings involving e-gift cards issued by Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”). By redeeming e-gift cards, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions as amended from time to time at our sole discretion.

  • Only Shangri-La Circle (“SLC”) members are eligible to purchase products available at www.shangri-la.com/corporate/shangrilacircle/redeem-points/lifestyle/product-categories/egift-cards/ (“Website”) by redeeming Shangri-La Circle Points for e-gift cards.
  • All products available on the Website are provided by Kargocard (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“Kargocard”) for use in the specified country or region and are subject to specific terms and conditions applicable to each product as described on the Website. For any product enquiries, you may contact Kargocard at [email protected].
  • Product information on the Website is provided by Kargocard. We cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete, correct or up-to-date. Kargocard remains responsible at all times for the accuracy, completeness and correctness of the product information displayed on the Website.
  • You may purchase e-gift card(s) for your own use or for other individuals as a gift or accept e-gift card(s) as a gift from other SLC members, subject to these terms and conditions and the specific product terms and conditions. For clarification, certain products do not allow gift or transfer of e-gift card(s) so you must review the specific product terms and conditions before completing the redemption process.
  • A SLC member must have a valid email address to complete the redemption process.
  • SLC Points, as indicated on the product redeemed, will be deducted from the SLC member’s account at the time of redemption.
  • Once a SLC member has submitted his/her request for redemption of an e-gift card, a first confirmation email with a redemption award reference number will be sent to the SLC member. Upon receipt of the first confirmation email, the SLC member cannot cancel, modify or withdraw his/her request nor ask for refund, unless otherwise approved by us.
  • The SLC member will receive a second confirmation email with the e-gift card from Kargocard within 3 to 5 working days after receiving the first confirmation email from us. If the SLC member does not receive the second confirmation email with the e-gift card from Kargocard, the SLC member may contact Kargocard at [email protected] with the redemption award reference number and the original email address used for redemption for further assistance.
  • By submitting the redemption request, you agree that we may share your full name and email address with Kargocard in order for Kargocard to process the issuance and delivery of the e-gift card(s) to you. This will be carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Kargocard's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the sharing of your information with Kargocard, you must not proceed with the redemption.
  • The list of products and the number of SLC Points required for the redemption shall be determined by us. For the avoidance of doubt, we may from time to time amend the number of SLC Points required for redemption without issuing prior notice to you.
  • You must check all details of each e-gift card immediately upon receipt of the e-gift card. Any error or discrepancy must be relayed to Kargocard immediately.
  • All e-gift cards are offered subject to their availability.
  • E-gift cards cannot be resold or exchanged for cash and/or SLC Points of any value and cannot be used to make credit card payments. Refunds for or replacements of e-gift cards will not be entertained.
  • You are not entitled to earn any SLC Points for redeeming e-gift cards.
  • We shall not be responsible for any unauthorized, fraudulent, unlawful or unsuccessful redemption. We may cancel or withdraw e-gift cards if we determine, in our sole discretion, that the redemption is not or should not have been successful, or is or was unauthorized, fraudulent or unlawful.
  • Nothing on the Website should be regarded as our recommendation or endorsement of the quality of the products.
  • We expressly disclaim any representation, warranty or undertaking in relation to the quality, status, or adequacy of the products.
  • Any dispute arising from or relating to the products redeemed as e-gift cards shall be settled between you and the supplier of the products. We shall not be held liable for any claim arising from or relating to the products or the redemption process.
  • We reserve the right to terminate or change these terms and conditions at any time for any reason and without prior notice to you.
  • Kargocard reserves the right to terminate or change any product specific terms and conditions at any time for any reason and without prior notice to you.
  • In case of any dispute, we have the sole right to interpret and apply these terms and conditions, and our decision shall be final and binding. No covenants at law or in equity shall be implied or incorporated, all of which are expressly disclaimed.
  • You, being a SLC member, are also subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Shangri-La Circle Programme. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, the following order of precedent shall apply: (i) specific product terms and conditions; (ii) these terms and conditions; and (iii) Shangri-La Circle Programme.
  • In the case of conflict or inconsistency between different language versions, the English version shall prevail.
