Former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen
As a National AAAA Class Scenery Spot, the Former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is the most famous tourist spot in Zhongshan. Here, visitors will find many precious cultural relics, pictures, graphics and text introductions.
Zhongshan boasts several high quality golf courses, including the Zhongshan Hot Springs Golf Course. Initially an 18-hole par 72 course designed by Arnold Palmer.
The award-winning 36-hole Agile Golf & Country Club sits in the Changjiang Reservoir area and is considered to be one of the world’s finest courses.
Renshan Celestial Palace
Known as the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, this auditorium contains exhibition rooms depicting the historical achievements of Zhongshan and its people.
Zhongshan Park and the Fufeng Cultural Pagoda
Just north of Sun Wen Xi is Zhongshan Park, one of the city’s most scenic and pleasantly wooded areas.
In its vicinity is Fufeng Cultural Pagoda, which was listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Xiangshan during the reign of Kangxi.
Built in 1608, there are 302 steps to the top of the Pagoda, which, come nightfall, is beautifully illuminated.
