Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore, announces the appointment of Tane Picken as its new resident manager. A hotelier with over 13 years of experience across China, Africa, Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, Mr. Picken will assist the resort’s general manager, Ben Bousnina, in managing daily operations and developing key strategies for the 454-room resort.
Prior to his appointment at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore, Mr. Picken was the cluster director of business development for a five-star hospitality establishment in Thailand. Previously, he held senior management positions across various departments from sales and marketing to operational divisions in hotels worldwide.
“Besides being the only beachfront resort in Singapore, Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa is one of the most family-friendly resorts I’ve worked with. There’s an outdoor playground for those who love the sun and the Cool Zone is one of the biggest children’s clubs in Singapore with a multi-level giant tree-house slide and an arcade zone. I look forward to creating wonderful holiday experiences for all our guests with a team of ever friendly and helpful colleagues,” said Mr. Picken.
“Tane has a vast experience within this industry and a deep understanding of Asian cultures and markets. We are glad to have his expertise on board with us to lead our colleagues in upholding and enhancing our resort’s commitment to provide consistent quality service and fun to our guests,” said General Manager Ben Bousnina.
