The culinary team at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore presents an enchanting line-up of Easter goodies and buffets for the young and old. Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus has created new Easter confectionery for sale at The Line Shop from 31 March to 20 April 2014.
This year’s goodies list highlights the Shangri-La Fashion Collection, which features six Easter eggs dressed in the iconic Shangri-La bellman, chef, life guard, housekeeping, engineer and The Line’s service staff uniform.
On Easter Sunday, The Rose Veranda, The Line and The Waterfall will offer different buffet concepts for a hearty feast. Junior guests stand a chance to win a grand prize at the hotel’s annual Easter Egg Hunt in the gardens on 20 April 2014 from 1:45 to 2 p.m.
To pay tribute to the heroes behind Shangri-La’s legendary hospitality, Chef Herve and his team have created the Shangri-La Fashion Collection. Easter eggs are “dressed” in the iconic uniform of Shangri-La front line colleagues, such as the bellman, chef, lifeguard, housekeeping attendant, The Line’s service staff and engineer. Each egg is priced at S$26. Chocoholics will appreciate the diverse selection that includes new items, such as Six Eggs in a Box and Easter chocolate in various animal shapes. Hot Cross Buns are available at S$2.50 per piece.
Guests can spread the festive cheer with the bountiful Easter Hamper packed with essential chocolate treats. Priced at S$138, each hamper comprises an Easter Chocolate Puzzle, Chocolate Frog, 150-gram Chocolate Rooster, Chocolate Bunny, one uniform from the Shangri-La Fashion Collection and a traditional Hot Cross Bun.
Junior guests can look forward to a challenging Easter Egg Hunt in the hotel’s gardens. A grand prize awaits the winning hunter. An Easter Bunny mascot will make a guest appearance to thrill the children, among other activities.
The Line will serve an unforgettable Easter feast featuring both classical and seasonal dishes, such as Roasted Beef Prime Rib, Foie Gras Terrine with Roasted Figs and Colorado Lamb Rack with Herb Crust. A magnificent white chocolate fountain at the dessert station will end the meal on a lavish note. The Line’s Easter Sunday Brunch buffet with free-flowing soft drinks and chilled juices is priced at S$128 per adult and S$64 per child. Guests can add S$40 to enjoy free-flowing champagne, red and white wines and draft beer.
At The Waterfall, families can relax over a Sunday brunch inspired by Mediterranean flavours. Premium seafood on ice and Easter specials take centre stage, like Devilled Eggs and Roasted Stuffed Veal Brisket. Guests have the choice to add Taittinger Champagne and herb-inspired cocktails for an additional fee. Easter Sunday brunch buffet at The Waterfall is priced from S$128 per adult and S$64 per child, and includes a bottle of organic soda.
Guests can enjoy the festivities at The Rose Veranda with a luxurious buffet afternoon high tea. The culinary team will serve fresh seafood on ice and popular hot items, such as Lobster Bisque and Roasted Rib Eye. They can also satisfy their sweet tooth with a vibrant selection of Chocolate Easter Eggs, Macarons and Hot Cross Buns. The buffet high tea is priced from S$72 per adult and S$36 per child.
