Eiffel Tower
The monumental Eiffel Tower is one of France’s – and the world’s – celebrated icons. It is also the popular paid attraction amongst global monuments, with millions of sightseers visiting the structure each year.

 

Notre Dame de Paris
This beautiful and elaborate cathedral is known for its sharp spires and flying buttresses built in the Gothic style. Sadly, you can only view the exterior of the cathedral due to the tragic fire in 2019.

 

Arc de Triomphe
The majestic Arc de Triomphe was initially conceived by Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 19th century to depict the glory of its conquering armies. Today, it is hailed as a masterpiece of romantic neoclassicism.

On French National Day, July 14, a military parade commences at the Arc de Triomphe and proceeds through the Champs-Elyees.

 

Sacré-Coeur

Sat atop the Butte Montmarte, the Sacré-Coeur is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Consecrated in 1919, it offers some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city from its white marble dome.

Le Louvre
A historical monument in its own right, the Louvre ranks among the finest museums in the world, and has long been associated with the prestige and grandeur of Paris. Visitors can get a lesson on Art History while browsing through artworks belonging to eras such as the Akkadian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Hittite and Elamite empires. Also famous for containing many distinctive works are the sections devoted to Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities.

 

The Palais Galliera
The Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum that opened in 1895, is located a few steps away from Shangri-La Paris. It hosts a few exhibitions around the history of fashion, from 18th century to the present day. The Palais is also known for its magnificent French garden where Parisians like to relax.

 

Musée d’Orsay
Located in a Beaux-Arts railway station built for the 1900 World's Fair, the Musée d'Orsay houses mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1914 and famously holds the largest collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world.

Transportation
Transportation

Public transport is easily accessible but walking is probably the best way to explore Paris' streets. The six major city train stations are within easy reach of the hotel, while the Iéna Metro Station is located within a few minutes' walk.

You can get around the city via public transport, car hire and bike rentals.
