The View from The Shard
Step out of your room in at the Shangri-La and take the lift to Level 68 of The Shard to reach the viewing gallery of Western Europe's tallest tower. Or simply gaze out of the window to catch glimpses of London's most iconic landmarks.

 

London Eye
Climb aboard Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel and take in unforgettable 360-degree views of some of London's most famous landmarks over the river Thames.

 

Tower of London
Visible from the Shangri-La, this 900-year old building held many titles over the years from royal palace to prison and even a zoo! Today's it's probably most famous for housing the Crown Jewels. 

 

Westminster Abbey
This UNESCO World Heritage site is London's most famous (and most beautiful) church. This must-see attraction was rebuilt in the 13th century but has a history that dates back to the early 1200's.

The Old Operating Theatre
Housed in the attic of the old St Thomas’ Hospital, this unique museum offers a a glimpse into the history of medicine and surgery. It is the oldest surviving surgical theatre in Europe. 

 

Victoria and Albert Museum
Founded in 1852, the V&A is the world's largest museum of applied arts, decorative arts, and design. It houses a permanent collection of over 2.27 million objects spanning 5,000 years, from ceramics and fashion to wallpapers and jewellery,

 

The Clink Museum
Built on the site of the original Clink Prison that dates back to 1144, this hands-on experience  allows visitors to get to grips with how things were done in olden times.

 

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
Just a short walk from the Shangri-La, check out the Globe Theatre offers a unique theatrical experience. Reconstructed to look like Shakespeare’s famous theatre, this Elizabethan playhouse is home to tons of great shows and events. 

As the theatre is open-air, the season starts in the spring and finishes in the autumn.

 

Tate Modern
Tate Modern is home to Great Britain's national collection of modern art from 1900 to the present day. It's one of the world's most frequently visited art galleries.

 

The Monument
A permanent reminder of the Great Fire of 1666, the Monument commemorates one of the most significant events in London's history.

 

St. Paul’s Cathedral via The Millennium Bridge
One of London’s iconic landmarks, the cathedral was built by Sir Christopher Wren and opened in 1697. It is located at the high point of the City of London on Ludgate Hill.

Borough Market
Just a 5-minute walk from the Shangri-La, the vibrant Borough Market is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. Built in 1851, the market is home to more than 100 stalls filled with gourmet food, delicious cheeses and beautiful patisseries.

There are a number of lovely cafés within the old market hall where you can stop for breakfast, lunch or a cup of tea.

 

Bond Street
Home to some of the world’s most prestigious retailers, London’s famous Bond Street is packed end-to-end with elegant stores, exclusive brands, designer fashion, luxury goods, fine jewels, art and antiques.

 

St. James
The historic St James's is renowned for its high-end fashion and art boutiques, some of which even have the seal of approval by the Queen. Venture along Piccadilly to stop at stylish department store Fortnum & Mason, while Jermyn Street is so typically British it's enough to bring out the old-fashioned gent in anyone!

All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club
You may not know the name, but you definitely know the game! All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club is home to Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is regarded as the original tennis court as the surface is grass.

 

Wembley Stadium
One of the most famous football stadiums in Britain, Wembley hosts the home matches for the England national football team and the FA Cup Final, the latter being the most attended football tournament in the world.

 

Lord’s Cricket Ground
Not only does Lord’s Cricket Ground host cricket matches, it's home to the MCC Museum which is the oldest sports museum in the world including The Ashes urn.

 

O2 Arena
Aside from world-famous concerts, theO2 Arena also hosts many sports such as tennis, ice hockey, basketball, gymnastics, boxing, squash, MMA, darts and rugby.

Shangri-La The Shard, London is located at London Bridge Station, which offers great connectivity: Over 54 million people travel through each year by underground and main line trains, road and water taxis, buses, ferries, cycle and pedestrian routes. The train station offers direct links to 247 main line destinations.

The tube offers direct access to 61 underground stations on the Northern and Jubilee lines, connecting to London's key districts – Bond Street and its shops to the west, the City to the north and Canary Wharf to the east – in less than 10 minutes.

International connectivity is accessible through the capital's airport network and the Eurostar terminal at St. Pancras Station, 15 minutes away.
