From 29 November 2013 to Christmas Day, a hunt for “The Festive Bears” will take place at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. Guests can simply take a photograph with a family of four life-sized teddy bears and upload it on the hotel’s Instagram or Facebook to win attractive stay or dining prizes. In conjunction with the giving spirit of Christmas, Shangri-La teddy bears will also be on sale in support of Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Singapore).
Four teddy bears named “Papa”, “Mama”, “Korkor” and “Meimei” will be decked in colourful costumes and placed at different spots in the hotel daily. Hints on the bears’ locations will be posted on Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s Facebook page and Instagram account (@shangrilasg) concurrently from 18 November 2013 onwards. “The Festive Bears” hunt starts on 29 November 2013 to commemorate the Christmas Light-up at Lobby Court in the evening.
To participate, guests will need to upload a photograph of themselves with any one of the bears on their Instagram account or on Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s Facebook page. Instagram entries must contain the following tags – #festivebear, @shangrilasg and at least one Instagram friend. Similarly, all Facebook entries should be tagged with #festivebear and at least one Facebook friend.
The hotel will select three lucky winners on 31 December 2013. Judging criteria include the most number of different Festive Bears photographs submitted and creativity. The top prize is a two-night stay in a Garden Wing Premier Balcony suite with a personal chef to prepare a barbecue dinner and a CHI, The Spa treatment. Other prizes include dining vouchers for four at The Waterfall and The Line. For more information on the contest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
About Make-A-Wish Foundation® Singapore
The mission of Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Its goal in Singapore is to grant a wish to every medically eligible child.
Their wish children suffer from severe illnesses such as brain cancer, advanced renal failure, and leukaemia - their treatments and surgeries are intense, often excruciatingly painful, and scary. A wish can go a very long way to making them forget their illnesses - even if only for a day. Working towards granting these wishes are over 200 volunteers, 10 board members and 8 staff. Their combined efforts, coupled with the support of sponsors and supporters bring them closer to that goal every day.
Make-A-Wish Foundation® Singapore has recently celebrated another milestone in 2013. They celebrated reaching our 900th wish in August 2013. For further information please log onto: www.makeawish.org.sg.
