In line with our commitment to biodiversity conservation, the group launched Sanctuary, Shangri-La's Care for Nature Project.
At Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang, we have the Turtle Care Project which aims to create awareness on turtle conservation and increase the survival rate of turtle hatching. Onsite the Eco Centre is a spacious edutainment venue where resort guests and visitors have the opportunity to learn about the conservation of turtle species and environmental protection through informative displays.
Turtle conservation efforts are supported by a variety of activities involving guests such as Turtle Egg Hunts, Turtle colouring competitions, Turtle Craft Making using recyclable materials along with monthly turtle hatching and release events.
