Beaches
While Mumbai is blessed with several beaches, some of the better ones are located in the northwest area. Beaches are a great place to absorb local sights and sounds, and experience how Sunday evenings are generally spent in Mumbai.
Hanging Gardens
First laid out in 1881, the Hanging Gardens are terraced gardens perched at the top of Malabar Hill. They provide sunset views over the Arabian Sea and feature numerous hedges carved into the shapes of animals.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park
Also known as Borivali National Park, Sanjay Gandhi National Park houses the ancient Kanheri Caves crafted out of rocky cliffs, which date back 2,400 years.
