Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur hosted one of the highlights of the Chinese New Year celebrations, the lion dance and drummers’ performances. The performances symbolise prosperity and good luck for the new year ahead. The performances also marked the 15th day of the Lunar Year on 24 February 2013, better known as Chap Goh Mei.
Twenty-four drummers from SRJK(C) Naan Kheung, Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur performed an amazing display of energy and followed by The Choy Lee Fatt Nan Sheng Sport Association Lion Dance troupe’s demonstration of athletics and flexibility which awed the audience.
Vice President / General Manager of the hotel, Mr. Lothar Nessmann also received the "Pot of Prosperity" from the lion dance troupe for good luck and prosperity.
