Putrajaya, Shangri-La, is located in the administrative centre for the
Federal Government of Malaysia.
It is only 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
and 35 minutes from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).
Taxis
Taxis are available widely in the city and at designated taxi stands.
Please note that rides between 12midnight and 6am are subject to a 50%
surcharge, in addition to the metered fee.
Public Transit
Light Rail
A fast way to reach Kuala Lumpur City is via the Express Rail Link from
Putrajaya station to KL Sentral station. The trip costs USD 3.
You can catch connecting trains to Kuala Lumpur’s city centre from KL
Sentral.
Buses
Public buses are widely available within the city at designated public
bus stops.
Almost all buses are air-conditioned and equipped with an automated
ticket vending machine.
Hotel Shuttle Service
A complimentary shuttle service is available from the hotel to:
- Kuala Lumpur
- Alamanda Shopping Centre
- Cyberjaya (Malaysia’s 'Intelligent City')

Lake Cruises
Visitors can cruise Putrajaya Lake in Passenger Cruise Boats or in the
Malay traditional boat called perahu.
The passenger cruise boat is air-conditioned and seats more than 70
persons. The perahu seats 4 to 6
passengers.
