Guests and media representatives were welcomed for the first time on 18 December 2012 at Shangri-La Residences, Ningbo.
In apartment 829, a two-bedroom apartment, Chef Pablo from Lobster Bar and Grill welcomed guests as the host of the apartment. With the smell of baked bread, Chef Pablo could be seen opening the oven in the kitchen, removing the tray carefully and examining each home-made tapas, just like an artist appreciating a newly completed masterpiece. Guests sat around the table enjoying the glühwein and looking forward to the host bringing food from the kitchen.
At the other end of the corridor, in apartment 810, there was a Chinese style cocktail reception. A main bedroom, a guest bedroom and a twin-bed children’s room made for a warm Chinese home. Chef Han, the hotel’s Chinese executive chef, was the host at the apartment. It seemed that the love story playing on the television was telling the story of the family. The scene was of the hostess dressed in Chinese qipao bringing dim sum and the host making home-made fresh soya bean milk, giving everyone a true feeling of family.
With the arrival of night, the view of the confluence of the three rivers becomes more attractive. Friends and guests could ease their troubles and stress by looking out on the river view and enjoying the peace and serenity that apartment 829 and 810 offers.
