Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta Celebrates Global Wellness Day 2017

In it’s second year, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta will support Global Wellness Day for the second consecutive year by holding a wellness-themed photo contest on Instagram and a ‘Yoga by The Garden’ session with yoga instructor Deera Dewi.

Shangri-La hotels and resorts around the world also invites guests, colleagues and communities to participate in this international celebration of health and wellness.

For its Global Wellness Day campaign, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta will announce a 7-Day Pledge initiative on Instagram, where people can choose to commit to one of four healthy habits for the next seven consecutive days.  The healthy habits include drinking eight glasses of water per day, stopping smoking, eating vegetables and fruits at least once a day and exercising for 30 minutes every day.

Participants will need to post their daily progress on the pledge they choose on their Instagram account for the next seven days using #isayyes and #GWD2017 and mentioning Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta’s Instagram account @shangrilajkt.

Winners will win a two-month Health Club membership at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, a one-night weekend stay in the hotel’s Deluxe Room, a spa voucher for a Balinese Massage and Javanese Scrub at CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La and an invitation to attend the main Global Wellness Day event; the afternoon ‘Yoga by The Garden’.

On 11 June 2017, the hotel will hold an afternoon ‘Yoga by The Garden’ session with famous yoga teacher Deera Dewi, and then continue with dinner featuring dishes from Shangri La’s Rooted in Nature programme which are made with locally sourced organic ingredients. The event is for invitation only and public can have the chance to get the invitation by participating on the Instagram contest.
