Integrating in Hong Kong

Traders Hotel, Hong Kong

Traders Hotel, Hong Kong aims to help the children by supporting their learning process and creating opportunities for interaction in the community. Regular activities are held by hotel volunteers including centre visits with lots of communal interaction and festive gatherings. The hope is that, through these activities, the hotel can contribute to the children's development and integrate them into society.

The hotel accepted a request from Heep Hong Society to assist in a wall-painting activity at one of their Special Child Care Centres in September 2012. A volunteer team of 10 persons spent three Sundays painting the centre’s walls with lovely animal cartoons. This enhanced the learning environment for the children at the centre.
In November 2012, the children of Heep Hong attended a Gingerbread-Making Class at the hotel and, along with volunteers  from the hotel, produced beautiful pieces of gingerbread for the festive season. The children and their family members were delighted with the opportunity to visit the hotel and had great fun being exposed to a hotel environment.
