As Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show appreciation to mothers and pamper them for their years of love, the hotel has prepared special menus in its restaurants for all families to enjoy.
On 10 and 11 May 2014, Café Kool features Mother’s Day’s lunch and dinner buffet menus that include a host of family favourites and international fare. Dishes include Serrano Ham, Assorted Cheese Platter, Roasted Capsicum Salad with Pan-Fried Fish, Seafood on Ice with unlimited servings of Lobster (dinner buffet only), Mantis Shrimp, Medium Prawn, Clam, Whelk, Mussel and other crustaceans. There is also Sushi and Sashimi, Indian and Malaysian delicacies, Japanese Seafood Teppanyaki, Beef Tenderloin with Goose Liver, Slow Roasted Salmon with Dill Cream Sauce, Fried Rice with Eel and Broccoli, Fried Kale with Coral Clam, Grilled Rib Eye and many more. An array of home-made desserts and Häagen-Dazs ice cream in twelve different flavours are also available. On top of that, each guest will be offered an Almond Soup with Bird’s Nest. Angelini commands sweeping harbour views and offers guests a warm inviting ambience. The restaurant presents a Mother’s Day semi-buffet lunch on 11 May 2014 for only HK$420 for adults and HK$380 for children. Chef Marco prepares an array of Italian appetisers and salads such as Lobster Salad, Premium Salami and Ham, Cheese Platter, and Foie Gras Terrine. The semi-buffet lunch also offers a list of hearty main courses, including Lasagna with Pesto Sauce and Cherry Tomatoes, Prawn Gnocchi with Green Asparagus and Cherry Tomatoes, Risotto with Beetroot Cream, Gorgonzola Cheese and Balsamic Reduction, Roasted Seabass with Celeriac Purée, Cherry Tomatoes and Sautéed Zucchini, Duck Breast with Orange Sauce and Baby Spinach, Lamb Loin with Eggplant Compote and Baby Carrots. Between 10 and 11 May 2014, Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung at Michelin two-star Shang Palace prepares a range of Mother’s Day-themed dim sums to show filial piety to all mothers. Specialties include Sea Cucumber and Morel Mushroom Dumpling Served in Supreme Broth, Deep-Fried Lobster Spring Rolls with Minced Garlic, Baked Wagyu Beef and Cordyceps Flower Buns, Baked Duck and Leek Pastry, Steamed Scallops Dumpling with Egg White and Bird’s Nest, Pan-Fried Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Egg and many more. Specially designed lunch and dinner menus featuring Cantonese delicacies are also on offer.
Mother’s Day lunch sets for four and ten guests are available at HK$2,280 and HK$7,800 respectively whereas dinner sets for four and ten guests are HK$4,080 and HK$18,000 respectively.
