Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong is offering diners an opportunity to experience first-hand the signature dishes presented by Chef Emil Minev, the executive chef at Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London, from 17 to 22 June 2013.
“I am delighted to come to Hong Kong to showcase what our London property will offer. My cooking style is contemporary, based on the foundations of classic cuisine. I am very keen to use local ingredients whenever possible and apply them to more cutting-edge techniques. My motto is – Whatever you do in life, put your heart and soul in it, and do it with love,” Chef Minev comments on his passion for gastronomy.
The dishes that guests are going to savour in this promotion will be featured in the menu of TĪNG restaurant in the London property. TĪNG restaurant offers a sumptuous array of locally inspired dishes with an Asian twist, made using some of the freshest produce and crafted with meticulous attention. Highlights include Slow-Cooked Pork Belly with Scallop, Pineapple and Mustard; Roasted Lamb Loin with Green Apple, Onion and Porcini; and Yogurt with White Chocolate, Coconut and Passion Fruit.
Chef Minev will bring to Hong Kong ten à la carte menu items, from appetisers to mains to desserts. Lunch and dinner menu sets are also available at HK$458 + 10% and HK$788 + 10% per person respectively. Please refer to the Appendix for the detailed menu.

About Chef Emil Minev
A native of Bulgaria, Chef Minev has 25 years of expertise in fine dining. He moved to London in 2002 to study at Cordon Bleu, one of the most prestigious culinary colleges in the world. His academic pursuit has sent him to the world-renowned Alain Ducasse Formation Center in Paris and the three Michelin-starred el Bulli in Barcelona. Prior to this role, he spent the last three years in some of Shangri-La’s best hotels in Tokyo and in the Maldives. He will oversee the hotel’s three dining venues and lead a brigade of 60 chefs.
