Matsutake dishes are the highlights in the month. As the king of fungi, matsutake is not only delicious, but also nutritious in terms of, for instance, immunity and skincare. To enable guests to relish its natural and fresh qualities, chefs of the Shang Palace have secured seasonal wild Yunan matsutake and prepared it in a traditional Cantonese cooking. Amidst the selection are Pan-Seared Fresh Matsutake with Brown Sauce, Fried Matsutake with Snow Beef, Fried Matsutake with Pork Neck and so on. Also available are dishes made from fresh chanterelle, catathelasma and boletus.
Also, Yunan Premium Black Tea will be staged at the Lobby Lounge as a Shangri-La’s choice for its superior quality and moderate price. Special mushroom cookies will be served along with the tea.
From 16 to 29 September 2013, the Coffee Garden will open an Italian food corner with some specials and desserts. The selection is hoped to indulge Italian food lovers there.
