Carnival at the Park by Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou

Leveraging its spacious 5,800-square-metre outdoor garden, one of the biggest in town, Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou introduces The Park, a Sunday Carnival featuring a series of fun activities for guests’ joy and leisure.  The newly revamped WOK TOO Café joins the Sunday Carnival fun with its family themed buffet lunch to delight children and their parents.

Every Sunday afternoon from noon to 2:30 p.m, Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou transforms into a wonderland for families.  The landscaped outdoor environment, Shang Garden the little farm and the children’s leisure facilities all present the best options for a weekend with the family.  The options aim to encourage the bond between children and their parents, as well refresh the romance between couples.

The Park
The spacious outdoor garden called The Park located on the bank of the Pearl River.  During the Sunday Carnival, it offers a broad range of activities for children, including Flying Fox, Mini Soccer game, Bouncing Castle, the Sand Castle, Slides, Crazy Golf as well as Pony Ride to cultivate children’s interest in staying outdoor.  Apart from the leisure activities, parents and children may enjoy the peace and breeze by sitting on the lawn that was once a putting green.

WOK TOO Café
After going through all the fun activities, the family may return to the Theater of Delicacy, WOK TOO Café, for lunch.  Upon setting foot inside the café, they will find the restaurant converted into another carnival theme park.  Clowns in colourful costume with amusing make up create fun for the children by shaping balloons into pets and flowers; in a corner of the café, kids’ artistic sense will be fully stimulated by body painting on each other’s skin.  This not only makes for a fun activity, but also encourages their creativity.

The restaurant caters to the Sunday Carnival and has specifically designed a buffet menu for the guests.  Deserts, hot and cold dishes, sushi and salads will be presented uniquely in conjunction with the colourful revamped decoration, designed to thrill not only the guests’ taste buds, but also their visual experience.

During the Sunday Carnival, the lunch at WOK TOO Café is priced at RMB488 and includes free flow of soft drinks, juices, beers, sparkling wines as well as house wines. Price is subject to a 15 per cent service charge.  For enquiry or reservation, please call (86 20) 8917 6498, or send an email to fbreservation.slpg@shangri-la.com.
