Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou Welcomes Mr Roc Huang as General Manager

Mr. Roc Huang has recently been appointed general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou.  He is the hotel’s first Chinese general manager and, previously, he was the general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou.

Mr. Huang started his hotel career in Beijing 24 years ago and has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 12 years.  He was also the resident manager at Kerry Hotel, Beijing in 2009, and had been the director of Sales and Marketing at Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun; Golden Flower Hotel, Xian; and Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao.  He was promoted to general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou in 2011.

Mr. Huang has 17 years experience in sales and marketing and hotel management, giving him much practical experience in hotel market targeting, product targeting, sales strategies and tactics, as well as staff motivation and other aspects.  As resident manager from 2007 to 2011, he was in charge of the hotel rooms, restaurant outlets and bars, banquets and conferences, and management of thousand staff members.  He also monitored each aspect of the hotel’s renovation.

As general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou, his many years of senior management experience brings the hotel to a new era.
