Tipping

Tipping is not encouraged in Fiji, and it is left to the individual to determine whether to make a gratuity. In lieu of daily tipping, some resorts operate a staff fund where tips are shared.

Public Health

Fiji is free from major tropical diseases that are endemic to many tropical countries. It has an effective medical system in place, although local people still believe in the efficacy of age-old herbal remedies. Fresh water at the resort has been treated and is safe to drink from the tap. Bottled water is also available at the Resort.

Dress

Light clothing for summer months and a sweater for the cooler months. Suits are appropriate for business occasions. Shorts and t-shirts are frowned upon in government offices. It is more respectable to wear modest dress in towns and rural areas.
