Buses

There are many bus routes criss-crossing the city and it is likely that you will need to make a line transfer to reach your destination.  Please enquire with the hotel staff about the most effective bus route.

Trains

Trains offer an efficient and scenic way of travelling within China.  Train travel options are available between Wuhan and more than 20 major cities.

As a transportation hub in central China, Wuhan has three main railway lines: Jingguang (Beijing-Guangzhou) Railway, Handan Railway (Hankou-Danjiangkou-Chongqing-Chengdu) and Wujiu Railway (Wuchang-Jiujiang-Shanghai).

Trains from Wuhan to other cities in Hubei Province are available daily.  Wuhan's Hankou train station is on the main line running between Beijing and Guangzhou.  Express trains to Kunming, Xian, Hong Kong and Lanzhou run via Wuhan.  High-speed trains to Shanghai depart from the stations in Hankou and Wuchang.  Bullet trains to Guangzhou depart from Wuhan Station in Qingshan District.

MetroThe metro network is currently under construction.FerryThe Hankou-Wuchang ferry line is a fast and efficient way of crossing the Yangtze River during the day.  Please enquire with the hotel staff about different ferry trips.CoachThe city's main long-distance bus station is located in Hankou.  There are daily departures to Nanchang, Shanghai, Changsha and points beyond.
