Visas

Visas are required for all international travellers entering mainland China.  Travellers carrying passports from Brunei, Japan and Singapore can enjoy visa-free access to China for up to 15 days.

Visas are readily available from Chinese embassies and consulates in most countries.  A standard 30-day, single-entry visa from most Chinese embassies abroad can be issued in three to five working days.  Visas can also be arranged at certain travel agencies such as China International Travel Service and China Travel Service.

Dress
Generally informal in Wuhan except on social, diplomatic or government occasions, when a suit and tie is appropriate.  Smart casual is the common attire for most commercial offices.

Wuhan has a humid subtropical climate with four seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.  Summer is known for its scorching hot and humid weather.  Expect summer temperatures ranging from 31C  to 40C  (88F to 104F).  Winter temperatures range from 10C to 1C (33F to 51F) with occasional snow.
