The 200-room luxury hotel will be built in a new 65-storey tower on University Avenue at Adelaide Street, due to open second quarter 2012.  The Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto, will occupy the first 17 floors of this development, which incorporates the historic "Bishops Block"- one of the oldest remaining buildings in Toronto.

Located on the west side of University Avenue at Adelaide Street, this Toronto hotel is ideally sited in the center of the financial and entertainment districts and is an easy walk to major downtown office buildings. Bloor & Yorkville shopping and dining areas, theatres and performance venues are also easily accessible.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto will be Shangri-La's second property in Canada following the debut of the Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver in January, 2009 by the same development team.
