A number of car hire companies operate from Sydney Airport. Driving instructions to the hotel are as follows:

1. Exit Sydney International Airport on to Airport Drive and follow Airport Drive onto Joyce Drive which then becomes General Holmes Drive.
2. Turn left off General Holmes Drive onto Southern Cross Drive and follow the Sydney signs on to the ED (Eastern Distributor tollway).
3. Drive through the Eastern Distributor tunnel to the toll gates – the toll is AU$4.50. Keep in the left hand toll gates and take the City North exit.
4. Turn right on to Macquarie Street then left on to Bridge Street in the City.
5. Follow Bridge Street to George Street, then turn right onto George Street and left onto Essex Street.
6. Follow Essex Street to the top of the hill then turn right ontoCumberland Street. The Hotel is located at 176 Cumberland Street on the right hand side.

On arrival, Valet Parking is available for guests at the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. The fee is AUD 35.
