Located in northeastern China, Shenyang is the capital city of Liaoning Province and the fourth largest city in the country. The city is a major industrial centre producing machine tools, copper, machinery, steel and electrical equipment.
Originally an 11th-century Mongol trading hub, Shenyang is a bustling city that is home to numerous temples, tombs, gardens, and pagodas. Shenyang is also the birthplace of internationally renowned composer Seiji Ozawa.
