Penang Museum

Built in 1821, the Museum and Art Gallery is a well known landmark of George Town the capital of Penang. The building built in the colonial era showcases a fine collection of old photographs, maps, charts and other historical relics that portray a vivid and elaborate picture of ancient Penang and its inhabitants.


Penang was considered prime real-estate by the Europeans and was constantly fought over as it contained some of the best spices found in Asia.
