Currency
The national currency of the Philippines is the Philippine Peso (PHP), which is composed of 100 centavos. Coins come in denominations of 1,5,10 and 25 centavos, 1, 5 and 10 pesos; and 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 notes.
Cash and travelers cheques can be exchanged in licensed exchange offices and international hotels.

Public Health
A health certificate is not required for entry to Manila. However, it's always wise to check your health before travelling. International medical services in Manila are of a high standard and are readily available.
 
We recommend you drink bottled water during your stay. Bottled water is found in every room.
Dress
Cotton is the best choice for clothing in Manila. A lightweight t-shirt and shorts or jeans are appropriate for daily wear. Jackets are good to have during rain storms or the occasional cool period. For formal occasions, men wear a coat and tie or a traditional Barong Tagalog, tailored slacks and leather shoes. Women will often wear cocktail dressed with a light shawl.
