Upon guests' arrival at the International airport, Shangri-La airport staff welcome guests after collection of luggage and escort them to the domestic airport, located within walking distance of the international arrivals hall.  Maldivian, the local domestic airline, offers round-the-clock flights from Malé to Gan, the Maldives’ second-largest airport.  The airport staff assist guests with check-in procedures at the domestic airport and briefly explain the procedure for their journey to the resort. 
 
After check-in, guests are escorted to a waiting lounge where refreshments are served.  Meanwhile, the airport staff assist guests in filling out the registration form that is transmitted to the resort ahead of time for a smoother, faster arrival experience.

The flight from Malé to Gan takes 70 minutes.  Upon arrival at Gan, Shangri-La's airport staff warmly welcome the guests after luggage pick-up and escort them to the nearby jetty.  The resort is only an eight-minute speedboat ride from Gan.  At the resort jetty, guests are greeted and escorted to their Villa.
