Known locally as Taiyangdao Gongyuan, the Sun Island Park which is located in the north of Harbin is made up of one big island along with a few other small islands in the Songhua River. Renowned as Harbin’s largest recreational centre, the island comes to a peak in tourism during summer and the ice festival.

The meadows here are faultless when it comes to barbecues and picnics.

The fascinating Sun Island Park becomes an exceptional winter retreat during wintertime when it gets enchantingly covered with snow. Various winter sports such as skiing, ice skating, sledding and even hockey is practiced here. This outstanding Harbin attraction is also the venue for the Snow Carving Festival that takes place each year.
