Taxis can be hailed at the hotel stands or on the street. In Guangzhou, flag fall is 8 yuan (including a 1-yuan fuel tax), and rate is 2.6 yuan per kilometre. Flag falls and rates differ within the country. Taxis can also be hired for the day on a negotiated price.
