Exploring Fuzhou
The Yu Shan Scenic Area has some remains of the old city wall, and is one of Fuzhou's most pleasant places. The principle attraction is the 41m White Pagoda, which has an excellent view from the top. Nearby is the 31m Black Pagoda which stands on the southern slope of Black Hill and faces the White Pagoda. During the Lunar New Year Festival, both pagodas are festively decorated with lanterns.
