Terms & Conditions

  1. To qualify for this promotion, you must be a member of Golden Circle.
  2. Member must log-in to Golden Circle "members only" site to register for this promotion on-line between 1 June and 31 August 2008.
  3. For new members who joined between 1 June and 31 August 2008, qualifying stays will be counted from joining date which is subject to the enrollment requirements of Golden Circle.
  4. Stays that are completed prior to becoming a member of Golden Circle are not eligible to qualify for this promotion.
  5. One (1) free night will be awarded to every four (4) accumulative qualifying nights completed between 1 June and 31 August 2008.
  6. Only one credit will be given per stay regardless of the number of registered guests per room.
  7. Reservations of multiple rooms, under the same name of a Golden Circle Member, during the same stay shall only be counted as one qualifying stay.
  8. A qualifying stay means one or more consecutive nights at any Shangri-La hotels or resorts when paying an eligible rate, during the earn period. Redemption stays do not qualify.
  9. A qualifying rate is any hotel published room rates under market segments of Rack, Corporate, Packages, excluding but not limited to stays in conjunction with travel agency, employee rates, airline crew and employee rates, groups, conventions/corporate meetings, long stay rates and complimentary/free night stays.
  10. Free nights earned are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  11. Members may login membership account and view the Golden Circle Summer Promotion statement from 15 June 2008.
  12. Free nights earned can be redeemed online and used for stays at any Shangri-La hotels and resorts between 1 September 2008 and 28 February 2009.
  13. Online redemption reservation is available starting from 15 August 2008.
  14. Free nights earned can only be used after being posted to members' Golden Circle Summer Promotion online statement 7 days after check-out of a qualifying stay.
  15. All unused free nights will expire after 28 February 2009.
  16. Free nights redemptions are subject to availability at time of reservation.  The member benefit of "Guaranteed Room Availability" is not applicable for free night redemptions.
  17. Members can redeem the best available room at time of reservation except Premier Rooms, Horizon/Traders Club Floors and Suites.
  18. Following black-out dates in addition to existing Golden Circle black-out dates apply:
    For all Hotels: 31 December 2008 and 1 January 2009
    For all Resorts : 22 December 2008 to 1 January 2009 and 25 to 29 January 2009.
  19. Redemption must be made 3 days in advance online at www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com or by phone at (60) 3 2052 3060 or email gcfreenight@shangri-la.com.
  20. Free nights redemption cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers.
  21. Free nights earned can be redeemed as individual nights or combined into a stay. The redemption nights are for room charges only inclusive of tax and service charges.  Any other incidentals incurred by the member during the redemption stay will have to be settled by the member upon check-out.
  22. Separate booking is required when redemption nights are combined with paid nights.
  23. The redemption stay is for single or double occupancy only.  Additional guests are subject to applicable hotel charges regardless if extra bed is required.
  24. Children under age of 12, limited to 2 per room, can stay free of charge when staying in the same room with their parents. Maximum number of guests per room is limited to 3 inclusive of children.
  25. Members are entitled to applicable Golden Circle breakfast and welcome amenities.  No other member benefits are applicable for the redemption stays.
  26. Redemption reservations cancelled less than 24 and 72 hours for City and Resort hotels respectively prior to 4 pm on day of arrival (local hotel time) or "No Show" will subject to a deduction of one free night.  Apart from deducting one night for NO SHOW, the entire booking will be cancelled automatically. Member will have to rebook again.
  27. One free night penalty will apply when changes are made to shorten the length of stay while in-house.
  28. To change the hotel and/or date of a redemption reservation, members will need to cancel the booking and make a new redemption booking online.
  29. Cancellation of any redemption booking must be made online.  Any redemption cancellation made at hotels will result in non-credit back of free nights to member’s account.
  30. Free nights are not transferable. Members must be present and registered at check-in and physically occupied the room or one of the rooms if more than one room is redeemed during the same period.
  31. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the offer, and withdraw this promotion without prior notice.
  32. All interpretations of the Terms and Conditions of Golden Circle Summer Promotion 2008 shall be at the sole discretion of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
  33. If this English version of the terms and conditions does not conform to other language version, the English version shall prevail.
