In addition to his vice president – hotels position, Mr. Cottan is currently the general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. Previously, Mr. Cottan was area manager/general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. He held area manager/general manager posts in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur since 2000. He began his career with the group as resident manager, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, in 1993. His previous hospitality management experience includes posts in Middle East, South Africa, Seoul, the USA and the UK.
