In addition to his vice president position, Mr. Cottan is the general manager of Shangri La Hotel, Singapore. Before assuming his present position, Mr. Cottan was area manager and general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, before which he held area manager and general manager posts in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. He began his career with the group as resident manager, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, in 1993. His previous hospitality management experience includes posts in the Middle East, South Africa, Seoul, the USA and the UK.
