Now Travel Asia magazine, a popular regional magazine than spans five Asian countries, has awarded Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang with a travel-related awards.  The magazine is owned by Now Travel Asia Co. Ltd., based in Thailand.  

Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang was named “Asia’s Top Leisure Hotel” in the annual “Travel Asia Top of Asia Awards” for 2012.  

The awards were given in recognition of the resort's outstanding contribution to Asia’s hospitality and travel industry and for creating outstanding staying experiences to guests worldwide.   

Now Travel Asia magazine has a printed circulation of 50,000 copies in several Asian countries and an online website hit of over 300,000 views a month. The awards are designed to recognise hotels and resorts in the hospitality fraternity who have contributed significantly to the success of Asia’s travel industry.  The voting results are based on an online survey, voting by magazine subscribers and editorial nomination.
