Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi successfully held the “Dining in the Sky” affair at Bord Eau on Friday, 22 March 2013.
Dining guests took pleasure in experiencing “Dining in the Sky” while enjoying the finest views of Abu Dhabi’s skyline including the whole Qaryat Al Beri complex and the capital’s most imposing landmark, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Award-winning Chef de Cuisine Alexandre Pernetta thrilled guests with a blind-tasting menu of with three courses served in the restaurant. The diners were then hoisted onto their seats on a suspended platform for their dessert, which was served 50 metres high. The one-time event consisted of eight sessions for lunch and dinner. The platform safely held a dining table for up to 22 diners and the Bord Eau team of three.
Top VIP guests and UAE residents, who were excited to experience “Dining in the Sky” for the first time in Abu Dhabi, filled up the French restaurant’s reservations.
