Lobby Lounge presents Hi Tea

As the summer heat scorches on outside, the Lobby Lounge at Shangri-La’s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi brings an elaborate Hi Tea menu devised by three of its talented maestros, Chef Darren Conole, Chef Cedric Houze and Chef Ravi Kumar.

Hi Tea immediately brings to mind the British gentry, liveried bearers carrying silver trays replete with scones dripping with honey or jam, dainty wafer thin sandwiches filled with thin slices of cucumber, cakes with cream, pastries and crumpets, coffered ladies with pinky fingers stuck up in the air and Victorian décor. 

Lobby Lounge’s English Hi Tea offers scrumptious sweet delights like Scones with Jam and Cream, Swan Cakes, English Dry Fruit Cake, crunchy Oatmeal Cookies and such savouries as Cucumber and Mint Sandwiches, Egg Custard Tart, Tuna Flakes and Eggs Open Face and Cheddar Cheese Straws which will transport  guests back to that era. 

Our Master French pattisier brings an exquisite French Hi Tea with delectable sweets and savouries like Macaroons, Chocolate Éclairs, Fruit Tartlets, Mango Mousse in Chocolate Cups, Ham Croissant, Mini Brioche Sandwich, and Blinis with Smoked Salmon and Lemon/Dill Cream, which are sure to make guests swoon with delight. 

Moreover, those who want to satiate their Indian palates can enjoy Indian traditional Hi Tea with such delightful offerings as Dhokla,Khandvi,Mini Masala Kachori, Papri Chaat, Cocktail Samosa, Mini Chutneywale Paneer ka Lifafa, Masala Aloo Tikki and Mini Bread Pakora. 

The English, French and Indian Hi-Tea is priced at Rs.499 plus taxes and is available from 15 June to 31 July 2013.Timing: 1500 hrs-1800 hrs.
