Now Travel Asia magazine, a popular regional magazine than spans five Asian countries, has awarded
Golden Sands Resort, Penang with a travel-related award. The magazine is owned by Now Travel Asia
Co. Ltd., based in Thailand.
Golden Sands Resort, Penang garnered the title of “Asia’s Top Beach Hotel ” in the annual “Travel Asia
Top of Asia Awards” for 2012.
The awards were given in recognition of the resort’s outstanding contribution to Asia’s hospitality and travel
industry and for creating outstanding staying experiences to guests worldwide. In addition, Golden Sands
Resort, Penang received the “Excellence in Hotel Services” and “Best Cuisine in a Relaxed, Tropical Environment” awards.

The awards are designed to recognise hotels and resorts in the hospitality fraternity who have contributed significantly to the success of Asia’s travel industry. The voting results are based on an online survey, voting by magazine subscribers and editorial nomination.
