Kuala Lumpur, 1 October 2013 - It’s a double celebration for the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, winning two prestigious awards in just a short time.
Most recently the Hotel was named the Best Business Hotel in Kuala Lumpur in the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards 2013, in recognition of its impeccable services and excellent facilities.
The award was based on votes received in an independent poll among frequent travellers in the region who are readers of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific.
Shortly before that the Hotel was also proud and happy to receive the Hotel of the Year 2012 Award by the Shangri-La Hotel and Resorts Group.
This award was based on several criteria, at the top of which were business results. For this the Shangri-La Hotel exceeded the target by 11.42 %, out-performing its seven competitiors.
Lothar Nessman, Vice-President and General Manager of the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, attributed winning the two awards to the tireless effort, dedication and teamwork of the staff.
“We also wish to thank the readers of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific for according us this honour of being the Best Business Hotel in Kuala Lumpur,” said Mr Nessmann.
