Course Objectives / Description

In 2014, economies and political environment around the world will continue to shift and we expect tremendous new challenges ahead.  What made leaders successful in the past may not ensure success in the future.  Therefore, it is very critical that senior executives possess not just a passion for hospitality but consistent, actionable management and leadership skills and relevant business acumen.  The Engineering Executive Programme will provide your Assistant Chief Engineers with relevant business skills to work more effectively with your team members, SLIM and Hub colleagues and other key stakeholders to stay as a relevant, well-respected and valued member of your Hotel’s team.  During this programme, you will cultivate essential financial and quality management and leadership skills.

What will be the impact and experience of this executive programme? Your Assistant Chief Engineer will be encouraged to think differently as they experience numerous learning situations, intense discussions and peer interaction. They will be able to identify new solutions to day-to-day problems. This programme uses a range of highly interactive approaches to help them advance their leadership capabilities including short lectures, personal coaching, group discussions and projects, assessments, networking and experiential learning. All these activities will help ensure that your Assistant Chief Engineers acquire key professional knowledge and skills and can apply them to their current role.

Upon completion of this programme, your Assistant Chief Engineer swill better understand how to enhance the Engineering Division’s productivity and have the skills and confidence needed to lead, manage and measure effective business strategies. In addition, they will develop a strong network of Shangri-La colleagues from different regions.
