Personal Information Collection Statement

Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited may collect, use and disclose the information collected in this application form; your CV/ resume (if provided); employment references; academic transcript (if provided); written assessments recorded in selection interviews with you (if applicable); assessment reports of any tests you undertake as part of the recruitment process (if applicable); the name, company, position, employment details and contact information of referees; the results of any vetting process (if applicable); and information from your social media or professional networking profiles (if applicable) (together, the "personal data"), which may include sensitive data, for the following purposes: (i) to assess your application for the position for which you have applied; (ii) to enable us to contact you about this role and/or other vacancies; (iii) to process your application; and (iv) as permitted or required by law. The above purposes are in line with our legitimate interests to decide whether to appoint you to the position as it is beneficial for us to appoint someone suitable.  

  

Personal data marked with (*) on the application form are mandatory for recruitment purpose. If you do not provide such data in the application form, we may not be able to consider and process your application.  

  

If you provide personal data about other individuals (such as employee referrals), you must show them a copy of this statement and get their valid consent prior to disclosing the data to us. If you do provide us with information about other individuals we will assume that you have obtained the relevant consent, and you hereby warrant to us that you have done so, and indemnify us from any claims to the fullest extent permissible by applicable laws. 

  

In order to carry out the above purposes, we may transfer or disclose your personal data to other group entities of Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited (including regional human resources hubs) on a need-to-know basis. Due to the global nature of our operations, we may transfer your data outside the country where you are located, but we have put in place reasonable policies and procedures to safeguard your personal data, including requiring the recipient to provide a standard of protection comparable to the protection under the laws of the place from which it is transferred. We may also have to share your personal data to respond to law enforcement requests or discovery procedures, or where required or permitted by applicable laws, court orders, government regulations, or government authorities (including tax and employment) anywhere in the world.  

  

It is our policy to keep the personal data of unsuccessful applicants for a period of 24 months. We take all reasonable steps and maintain appropriate safeguards to help protect your personal data from accidental or unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration and destruction. 

  

You have the right to access, correct/rectify, request deletion/erasure, or restrict or withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data, a right to object against profiling and a right to data portability, at any time in accordance with applicable law.
