Targeted talent development programmes exist at various levels within Shangri-La. Since we are a growing organisation with over 42,000 colleagues, a number of fast track programmes exist to help us prepare our future leadership pipeline. A selection of these programmes is shown below.


Aspiring General Manager’s Programme
This programme provides a clear pathway for our hotel executives from every discipline to grow their career in the direction of becoming a hotel general manager. The programme starts with an assessment workshop to determine each person’s unique learning and development needs. You will be allocated a senior mentor and receive formal and experiential learning, coaching, and carefully chosen work placements.

Senior Executive Development
These executive educational opportunities focus on the unique developmental needs and aspirations of our senior leaders. These are addressed in a range of programmes that are challenging, stimulating and aligned with the vision and strategic direction of our company.
