Featuring such subtle signature dishes that secured Chef Alfredo a Michelin star within three years of his restaurant opening, diners are invited to join Chef Alfredo and his special team for an exceptional culinary journey of taste, texture and unexpected interpretation.
Founded on absolute respect for the Italian - and specifically Piedmontese cooking – Alfredo Russo’s cuisine is a constant search for culinary innovation and purity of taste. Originally from Turin, Mr. Russo found his passion in cooking at the age of 13. Armed with an immense experience from three different Michelin-starred restaurants in Piedmont, he opened his own restaurant; Dolce Stil Novo in Turin, Italy in the late nineties. In 2004, Chef Alfredo qualified as the best young chef according to the Italian magazine L’Espresso Guide and has been consecutively receiving awards at national and international level over the past 10 years. His prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant is regarded as one of the finest dining experiences in Italy.
Food connoisseurs have an extraordinary opportunity to indulge in Chef Alfredo’s unique scrumptious dishes within his exquisite à la carte menu which includes Carpaccio of Scallops with Tangerine and Hazelnuts; Pink Wild Salmon Marinated with Celery Leaves, Celery Root Cream and Laurel Aroma; Swordfish “Carpione” with Leeks and Black Olives Powder; and Apple tart with Soft Cream and Granny Smith juice.
Celebrating the first-class Michelin dining experience, Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa offers Omanis and the residents of Oman a luxurious opportunity to stay at Al Husn hotel, in a Deluxe room and enjoy Chef Alfredo’s signature delights for dinner, for two persons, starting from OMR 200 net per room per night inclusive of buffet breakfast.
Michelin inspectors analyse restaurants and hotels throughout the year under a clandestine cloak. Their anonymity is fundamental to the inspection process that has been refined for more than 100 years. The limited numbers of restaurants chosen for the Michelin Guides are all highly recommended and earning a star is acknowledged as one of the highest honours and distinction in the culinary industry.
