“We are honored to have the opportunity to manage Traders Hotel, Manila and work with New Riviera Hotel Development Company. This prestigious company is known for its numerous years of experience and dedication in the Philippine hospitality industry. The hotel’s success would not be possible without the support of our stakeholders, business partners, guests, and of course our Shangri-La family,” said Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Dogan.
“We selected Shangri-La to manage this property because of our profound trust and friendship with the Kuok family before the hotel transpired. Aside from being top of mind among luxury hotel brands worldwide, it also has an excellent reputation in providing hospitality from the heart. Our company believes in the Shangri-La vision of Hospitality from a caring family. More than a business partnership, it is the close familial bond with the Shangri-La Group through the years that made us continue with this relationship in the next two decades and hopefully beyond” said New Riviera Hotel Development Company Inc. Chairman Julie Benedicto.
Shangri-La first took over management of the 312-room property in January 1995, when it was rebranded Traders Hotel, Manila.
Conveniently located along Roxas Boulevard, overlooking the picturesque Manila Bay, the hotel offers convenient access to premier conference and exhibition facilities such as the Cultural Centre of the Philippines, Philippine International Convention Centre, World Trade Centre and Makati Business Centre. It is near Malate, the city's entertainment district, as well as Southeast Asia's biggest shopping mall, SM Mall of Asia.
