Shangri-la Hotel, Guilin offers a special Christmas gift

Christmas is symbolised by family reunions, mutual care and presents, but at this happy time of the year, Yunyun is suffering.  Yunyun is the daughter of one of the hotel’s housekeeping staff, Siyan Huang.

Yunyun has a congenital right ear deformity, and she has been deaf since birth.  Her family had little money for medical treatment, so Yunyun could not have surgery at the best age for it.  Now, Yunyun is 10 years old and her family would like Yunyun to have surgery.  However, the medical expense, at Rmb100,000, is too much for the family to bear, as the family is poor.

As Christmas Day is approaching, it is hoped that this wonderful festival will be a time of sharing and helping Yunyun.  Staff members at Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin are sharing their love and more than Rmb20,000 has been raised since 30 November 2012 for Yunyun. And sharing love is continued...
