Traders Hotel, Manila recently embarked on a 45 million ballroom renovation which is expected to raise its guests’ event experience when it opens in July 2013.
The renovation will comprise of redesigning the architectural and design accents of the grand ballroom, which can seat up to 500 persons as well as the four smaller function rooms that can seat from 50 to 150 guests.
Crystal chandeliers, stained mirrors and leather padded walls with embroidered fabrics in an earth tone motif and linear pattern will be seen in the new Embassy Ballroom. Wood works in dark hazel nut and abstract paintings will also be added to give contrast to the bright walls.
“We are very excited about the renovation as it has been almost seven years since the last refurbishment was completed. Our guests can expect to see a modern, elegant, contemporary Ballroom with up-to-date technology and stylish breakout meeting rooms that complement our renovated guestrooms, the Traders Lounge and Japanese Restaurant,” said General Manager Gordon Aeria. “We foresee a higher demand in the meetings and conference segment as well as social events due to the renewed interest in the Bay area and our close proximity to The Entertainment City.”
The renovation is headed by A. Ilustre and Associate Architects. The Ballroom and function rooms are located at the 2nd level of the hotel. Measures will be taken to minimize disruption to our guests, with heavy work confined to normal business hours only. The hotel will continue to operate as usual with uninterrupted services.
